A photograph goes in.A portrait comes back.

You see the finished artwork before you decide anything. No card, no account, and nothing printed until a person has checked it.

See how it works
Three phones showing the HELD journey: the photograph, choosing an edition, and the finished portrait.

One photo isall it takes.

We do not simply render whatever sits in the middle of the photograph. First, we find your actual home and every part connected to it.

Step one

Show us the house.

It is made while you wait, here on this page, usually in five to ten minutes. No waiting list and nothing to pay.

Phone photos are perfect. We accept JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC up to 25MB.

Your portrait is made with AI from your photograph, then checked by a person before anything is printed.

  • Include the whole roofline
  • Use the clearest photo you have
  • People, pets and cars in shot are fine: the portrait leaves them out

The photograph is half the portrait

The portrait can only hold what the camera caught. Ten seconds here is the difference between close and exact.

People and pets will not appear in the portrait

Your photograph, with life in front of the house. Completely fine to upload as it is.
The portrait is of the building alone, so people, pets and passers-by are left out.

Step back and fit the whole house in

Too close. The roof and the sides run out of the picture, and whatever the photo cuts off, the portrait loses too.
The whole building, with a little sky and ground to spare

Attached or in a terrace? Keep the neighbours in

Cropped at the join. Part of your own home has gone with it.
The neighbours in shot. We scan the photo and outline just your home.

One photograph, on its own

A collage. Two views fight each other.
One clear view of the front

The photo itself, not a screenshot

A screenshot, clock and all
The original, from your camera roll

Cars, bins and weather are all fine. Estate agent photographs of your own home work well too, as the photo rather than a screenshot of it.

01

The photograph

Show us the whole place.

Upload the clearest photograph you have. Cars, bins, grey skies and ordinary phone cameras are all part of the job.

02

The architecture

Confirm what is yours.

Before anything is made, we outline the complete property, including extensions, bays, rooflines and the correct half of a semi.

03

The edition

Choose how it is remembered.

Pick one of fifteen locked art directions across three collections. Each is a real visual language, never a novelty filter or generic prompt.

04

The reveal

See it before buying.

Your private preview usually appears within five to ten minutes. Nothing to pay, no account to create and no leap of faith.

Hung where life happens. At a scale that makes sense.

Not a tiny print floating near the ceiling. Every room view uses a real domestic sightline, a credible hanging height and the physical size you choose.

Good questions.Straight answers.

Still wondering? Write to us at studio@heldportraits.co.uk.

01Will it actually look like my house?

That is the whole point. We identify the exact property first, map the connected parts and check the finished portrait against its windows, door, roofline, chimney and shared-wall relationship. If it misses the architecture, it does not pass.

02How long does the whole thing take?

The portrait itself is usually ready in five to ten minutes, free, while you wait on the page. If you then order a physical piece, typical UK arrival is 4 to 7 working days, because it is printed, finished and checked by a person before it ships. Nothing here is a commission with a waiting list.

03What if my photograph has cars, bins or neighbours in it?

That is completely normal. The portrait removes everyday clutter and lets adjacent homes recede, while keeping the real structure of your property truthful.

04Is the preview genuinely free?

Yes. No card details and no obligation. An email address keeps the finished portrait at a private link so you can return to it.

05Is every portrait checked?

Yes. Automated architecture checks happen before the reveal, and a person reviews the final crop and print file before a paid order is released to production.

06Can I buy only the digital file?

Not at launch. HELD is currently about the finished physical object: a 308gsm cotton fine-art print, a ready-to-hang Classic or Deep Box frame, a stretched canvas or a polished acrylic panel.

07What happens if the frame arrives damaged?

We remake and reship it without charge. You will not be asked to return the damaged piece.
